Nandrolone, and bone mineral density.

Nandrolone decanoate is one of the most abused anabolic-androgenic steroids. It is believed to be a mild SAA, but … it has a powerful effect on suppression of the HPTA system, and on the downside is one of the longest-detectable anabolic-androgenic steroids available in the market (many years; a comment on the implementation of new detection methods, most steroids in 2012) Anabolic androgenic can be detected for many years).

Can nandrolone affect bone mineral density?

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial, the effect of 2-year nandrolone decanoate (ND) treatment on bone mineral density (BMD) of the lumbar spine, femoral neck and trochanter and vertebral fracture, rate, gain in muscle mass and hemoglobin was evaluated. Sixty-five women with osteoporosis older than 70 were examined. Thirty-two ladies received injections of 50 mg of nandrolone and 33 received placebo every 3 weeks. All patients received 500 mg of calcium daily in tablets.

Conclusions

Nandrolone affects the bone mineral density, reduces the likelihood of fractures, increases muscle mass and hemoglobin.
