MSM is characterized by a lack of smell, while the appearance resembles a white powder, which is very easily soluble in water.It is the third element in terms of content in the human body, which indicates that it is a particularly important compound. The vast majority of sulfur is stored in bones, muscles and skin.Unfortunately, MSM is a very delicate compound that is easily destroyed, for example under the influence of high temperature or as a result of storage or pasteurization. It is recommended to dissolve it in about 150 ml of water, drink it and then drink with an extra glass of water.The best results can be obtained when using MSM about 30 minutes before a meal. Many people think that MSM should form the basis of supplementation. In the human body, the sulfur level is about 0.2 mg / kg. Its amount excreted from the body by an adult person is from 4 to 11 mg / day. Regardless of the recommended norms before starting supplementation, it is worth consulting a dietitian or doctor to determine a safe starting dose.
Supplementation is recommended to start from 1 g per day.If after a few days we do not observe any side effects, we can gradually increase the dose. The maximum dose is considered to be 5 g methylsulfonylmethane per day. You can also use the so-called saturation of the body with sulfur. Then you can use even 15 g MSM per day, but it is worth dividing the dose into three smaller portions. However, you should not use this procedure for more than a month. After the treatment, it is worth returning to standard doses from 3 to 5 g daily. Due to the natural blood-thinning properties, special attention should be paid to people who take medicines such as aspirin before using.

Most people who use a properly balanced diet should not worry about sulfur deficiency. However, if we care about the prevention of certain diseases or support their treatment, it is worth considering supplementation with methylsulfonylmethane.
