Baking soda a natural way to perfect skin

Baking soda costs pennies, but its range of applications is so wide that it can be considered a valuable product despite its price. It can be used to clean the whole house, clean burnt-out pots, as well as whitewash white fabrics and all this in a natural, environmentally and people-friendly way.

Baking soda for the skin

We have decided to present you with 3 ways to use soda for skincare. Purified soda is so natural and delicate that it has moisturizing and cleansing properties by itself. It is an excellent exfoliating agent because it effectively cleanses the skin from dead skin, excess sebum and impurities, but at the same time, it is delicate enough not to irritate the skin. Frequent use of the following mixtures of soda with other substances will result in a beautiful, tight, healthy complexion without acne, with visibly reduced pores and brightened discolourations.

Facewash with baking soda

The baking soda combined with water gently cleanses the skin of the face and helps to get rid of the remnants of make-up. It effectively unblocks clogged pores, making the skin smooth and luminous.

Preparation of the skin cleansing concoction is very simple – just use 1/2 teaspoonful of soda with a dozen or so drops of water on your hand or in a bowl to make a thick paste appear. Then moisten the face with warm water, apply the paste with your fingertips, massage very gently for a while in circular movements and wash off with warm water.

Exfoliant mask

The mixture of baking soda with coconut oil acts as a natural exfoliator – it exfoliates the skin very effectively and removes unecessary epidermis, but at the same time does not irritate the skin.

The mask additionally moisturises the skin of the face and brings out its natural glow and helps to get rid of dull skin. If you have sensitive skin, combine the oil with baking soda in a ratio of 2:1, while for less irritating skin you can use a ratio of 1:1. Usually, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of soda is sufficient. The mask is best made in a bowl, applied to the face, left on for 5 minutes and washed off with warm water.

Smoothing mask

Another way to achieve beautiful skin is to combine baking soda and lemon. This sour fruit has an extremely positive effect on the complexion – it gives it a shine, removes discolourations and senile spots and helps to get rid of eczemas. The squeezed lemon juice tones the skin and reduces the secretion of sebum, removes impurities and prevents them from accumulating.

The mask made of soda and lemon juice intensively smoothes and cleanses the skin tightens the skin and lightens various types of discolourations. It is also perfect for acne treatment. In order to make the mask 2 tablespoons of baking soda and approx. 1/4 glass of lemon juice is needed. The mask should be mixed thoroughly, applied in a thicker layer on the face, left for 10 minutes and rinsed with lukewarm water.
